Job Description for Shopify Developer

• A strong knowledge of Shopify and WordPress platform
• Experience in working on e-commerce functions using Woo Commerce and/or Magento
• An expertise in Shopify and WordPress theme development and customization
• Expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language
• Able to integrate APIs for Payment Gateway and Shipping such as Shiprocket
• Expert knowledge of Elementor Pro and other WordPress design tools.
• A proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections etc.)
• An expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/ECMA Script 5/6
• A knowledge of SCSS (preferred)
• A knowledge of PHP and MySQL is preferred
• An expertise in JavaScript libraries (e.g.: jQuery).
• A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
• A strong understanding of responsive web design techniques
• An understanding of W3C web standards/semantics and accessibility guidelines
• An ability to multi-task on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Shopify and/or WordPress Websites Development
• Experience with WordPress, Magento, Woo Commerce and BigCommerce
• Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX (preferred)
• Excellent written and spoken English
• The availability to work 6 days per week
• Good design and aesthetic sense
• Passion to build a startup
• A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone and speakers, reliable internet and power

RESPONSIBILTIES

• Developing ecommerce sites on Shopify and WordPress platform
• Developing ecommerce sites using WordPress, WooCommerce and Magento
• Developing custom Shopify themes
• Developing custom WordPress themes
• Migrating websites from other ecommerce platforms to Shopify or WordPress
• Extending Shopifys functionalities to next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
• Integrating third-party and platform supported apps in the sites
• Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in Shopify and WordPress platform
• Page speed optimization of Shopify and WordPress sites
• Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
• Transforming complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
• Creating responsive website designs
• Working under tight deadlines
• Handling multiple projects at the same time
• Producing high quality of work with a strong focus on detail
• Thoroughly QA work prior to submission
